The Screen Guide

Like fingerprints, hair is a unique signifier of identity and personal history. HAIRTALES is a portrait of 12 unique characters, whose memories of hair reveal secrets and intimate reflections on life changing events and personal experiences. The film explores life as a series of interconnected strands, where tears and trauma, hope and hilarity are all tangled up into one celebration of the human experience. The characters' stories speak for anyone who has hated, lost, reclaimed and restyled their hair. Most importantly, hair tells us all where we've been, who we are, and would like to become.
