The Screen Guide

An impressionist study of a family, set in the 1950s. A young boy wakes to the sound of his mother's sewing machine. In the sanctuary of the sewing room they steal a moment of intimacy but the red dress will soon be finished. THE SEWING ROOM reveals a darker side to 1950s family life reflected in an innocent gaze.
