The Screen Guide

On April 1st, 1978, began one of the most damning, protracted episodes of human rights violations in Australian legal, political and social history. On that day the Federal Police in Sydney set out to arrest a thousand Greek Australians and five doctors on charges of conspiracy to defraud the social security system. Seven years later the charges were dropped and $10 million in damages was awarded to the victims.
