Subscription TV penetration by location, 2004

Subscription TV penetration is highest in Sydney, with 35 per cent of households subscribing in 2004, and lowest in Perth with 18 per cent. The level of subscription generally in regional areas (NSW, Queensland and Victoria) tends to be lower than in the metropolitan areas, except for Perth/WA. In 2004, 59 per cent of subscribers were in capital cities.
