Notes:
Household Use of Information Technology (HUIT) data was collected from the Multi-Purpose Household Survey (MPHS) for 2004/05, 2005/06, 2006/07 and 2007/08 and the Children's Participation in Cultural and Leisure Activities Survey in 2006.

^ Estimate has a relative standard error of 10–25 per cent and should be used with caution.
1. For 2007/08, the ABS only published the total number of households in Australia and the proportion of internet and broadband subscribers: the number of internet households and the proportion of these households with broadband have been calculated by Screen Australia from this ABS data.
2. The number of households with an internet connection.
3. Broadband: defined by the ABS as an 'always on' internet connection with an access speed equal to or greater than 256Kbps.
4. Includes those with incomes less than zero.
