Call for applications: Enterprise Program

The Enterprise Program will, once again, provide funding of up to $350,000 per year for a three-year period to support screen businesses that have identified opportunities to develop and expand.

For the 2013 funding round, up to $2.5 million in total will be split across the successful applicants over the three-year funded period. Applications are now open and we anticipate supporting a diverse range of companies and budget levels through this program.

The program aims to enhance Australia’s screen businesses by:

  • supporting existing businesses to grow to their next stage
  • encouraging new business partnerships and alliances
  • assisting Australian screen companies to develop a strong presence in the international marketplace
  • encouraging the development of new revenue streams
  • facilitating increased development of quality Australian projects and talent
  • encouraging development, financing, production and marketing strategies which address new opportunities in the digital and online realm.

Applications are invited from Australian producers seeking to progress their business through a range of strategies. These include further developing their slate of projects, investigating new business opportunities, developing industry and marketplace relationships, forming new business alliances, and attracting increased levels of private investment and marketplace attachments.

“In recent years, we’ve seen an increase in companies applying to the Enterprise Program that are looking to new forms of content and associated revenue as well as finding success in new markets such as Asia,” said Screen Australia’s Senior Manager, State and Industry Partnerships Chris Oliver. “These companies are proving that, with the assistance of Enterprise, they can grow and be sustainable. We want to see more of these businesses applying this year and we encourage the new generation of entrepreneurs into the mix.”

Applications close Friday 9 August 2013.
