New deadline for commercial and subscription TV documentary projects

Assessment of commercial and subscription TV applications within the Documentary Broadcast program has changed.

We’ve decided that applications submitted under the allocation for commercial broadcasters and subscription TV channels (i.e. broadcasters other than the ABC and SBS) within the Documentary Broadcast program will be assessed in two batches for the rest of the financial year.

The deadline for the first batch is close of business Friday 16 October 2015.The official decision date is Friday 13 November 2015. The second batch will take place early 2016, with a batch deadline date yet to be determined.

The decision to have two batches for this allocation under the Broadcast program ensures a competitive assessment of all applications in the context of limited available funds. It enables us to be transparent, fair and accountable to all applicants, rather than giving an advantage to those projects that submit early.
