The Screen Guide

A middle-aged writer and muse to a successful female photographer begins to question his role in her life – and, thus, his own. Named after the difficulty to recognise feelings, Alexithymia examines the often-complicated relationship between creator and muse, teacher and student, and ultimately, master and slave. The film explores our inherent need to control, most frequently via domination, but also via submission.
