This documentary reveals the work, memories and legacy of Queensland doctors, nurses and ancillary support staff who served during the First World War. Sections include; a brief history of the medical service in war, the role of doctors on battle front, their difficulties and innovations, the development of nursing during the war including their emotional support, ancillary support workers and their important work in war, and the legacy of the wartime medics and their modern counterparts.
