The Screen Guide

BANDUK is the Australian contribution to the second European broadcasting union drama exchange for children. BANDUK is set in Arnhem land, and was shot in and around the township of Gove. It tells the story of a brother and sister who outwit some bird smugglers who are trapping their totem...the red coloured lorikeet, known to Aboriginals as the lindrig.
