The Screen Guide

This two part documentary explores the subject of wealth and poverty in Australia. The treatment is idiosyncratic, fresh, multi-layered. It goes beyond a purely political critique of the issue, covering terrain that has more to do with underlying values and universal themes that determine how all societies organise themselves. As Manning Clark says in the program, 'The whole of humanity is now engaged in a great debate, and the debate is — if you were given the opportunity, what sort of society would you build?'
