The Screen Guide

Since Biblical times, sufferers from leprosy have been outcasts. Today, despite the modern drugs which control it, we still harbour dark fears about the disease, and Australia is not immune from it. It mainly effects Aborigines, and in the Kimberleys in the north-west, about 500 people are being treated. There are 20 patients at the leprosarium at Derby, and this is their story.
