The Screen Guide

Coloured Stone is one of Indigenous Australia's longest running rock bands. Hailing from Kooniba in South Australia, the band formed in 1978 and in 1984 had an Australian hit with their song 'Black Boy'. Coloured Stone's founding member and frontman, Bunna Lawrie, recently received the Australia Council's prestigious Don Banks music award, making him the first Indigenous person, as well as the first ever rock musician, to win this coveted award. Part of ICAM series.
