The Screen Guide

The channel country of south-west Queensland is a hard land. Always there is drought or flood, but mostly drought. This is the story of this land, and of the pioneer families who still live on the vast sheep and cattle runs of the Queensland channel country. They are people like the Kidd sisters, and their story is of endurance and deprivation. But they love the land, and because of their love they know that one day the flood will come, and after the flood the grass will grow again.
