The Screen Guide

Examines an extraordinary relationship between a mother and daughter both obsessed with Spanish dancing. It raises the profound and disturbing issue of locating one's identity, both personal and cultural. The mother had struggled unsuccessfully to find emotional fulfillment in Spain and in Spanish culture. Her daughter carries the weight of both their hopes as she boards the plane for Spain at the end of the documentary.
