The Screen Guide

The film explores the sensitive subject of violence against women. The horror of domestic violence is captured through the eyes of three young sisters who tell their story. Around this is built a critique of the issue that provocatively throws down a challenge to both feminist orthodoxy and the complacency of the wider community. It is a timely film by a man, on a supposedly woman's issue. It has enormous relevance to the International Year of the Family where violence in the home will be a major focus of governments and communities around the world.
