The Screen Guide

FAGGOTS ARE FOR BURNING is an intense, impressionistic and compelling melange of sound and image It is a story strongly controversial to the church, but yet a personal story. The film deals with a young gay man's inner conflict with his sexuality and subsequent journey through the world of Christian fundamentalism in search of answers. The film portrays the effect upon the individual when these two intrinsically opposed forces are brought together, based largely on the autobiographical experiences of the director.
