The Screen Guide

Documentary coverage of the 1982 Commonwealth and Warana Arts Festival in Brisbane. While athletes were striving for gold at the Commonwealth Games, records of another sort were being set in a different part of the city. Artists had come from all parts of the Commonwealth to take part in the Festival, which featured more than one thousand events in three weeks. Highlights featured in this coverage include Keith Michell in Shakespeare's The Tempest; pianist Roger Woodward playing Beethoven; and performances by The Sydney Dance Company and The Hong Kong Orchestra and Dance Company
