The Screen Guide

Grahame volunteers to dig up a 300 BC Hellenic Theatre at Paphos in Cyprus, the birth of Aphrodite goddess of love. Built for Alexander The Great to entertain his troops before invading the Middle East, the theatre may be in harm's way once again. It's the 20th anniversary of the Turkish invasion and tensions are running hot. Grahame has been given the position of Volunteer Co-ordinator and is taking 24 volunteers into an uncertain and potentially hostile environment. How will they cope as their romantic vision of the cradle of civilisation goes toe to toe with the worst aspects of 20th century culture.
