The Screen Guide

This thought-provoking series was produced with the aim of providing a stimulating, alternative viewpoint of Australia during the euphoria of its Bicentennial year. Noted Australian author/historian Russell Braddon is writer and presenter, and looks closely and critically at those attitudes and legends which supposedly define the Australian identity, but are revealed as often vastly different from what we all like to believe. Braddon examines early history, the ANZAC myths, the treatment of Aborigines, and the economic future of the country - and his findings are perceptive, stimulating and provocative.
