The Screen Guide

ISLAND STYLE is a documentary film about the youth of Sydney's Pacific Islander communities, about the difficulties they encounter from strict traditional rules - church doctrines at home, to racism on the streets and at school. It is about the cultural conflicts they experience in all aspects of their lives and how their own style of music becomes a cornerstone in forging an identity of their own.
