From Kashmir in the west to the from the kingdom of Bhutan in the east, this is the first time a television crew has filmed extensively in this area, capturing, within the Himalayan region, the scenery, culture and lifestyle of the people. To obtain unique footage on areas of Kashmir, Ladakh, Garwhal, Himalaya, Nepal, Sikkim and Bhutan, the crew braved hardship and at times danger, battling monsoonal floods, landslides and glacier ice, making arduous treks through precipitous mountain passes.
