The Screen Guide

Wendy Lowenstein is an oral historian, who records the memories of ordinary people who have lived through extraordinary events. She is preparing a book on the Melbourne waterfront, with the help of Tom Hills, who worked on the docks for 50 years, and is a treasure-house of memories. 'A Big Country' spent ten days filming Wendy and Tom at work interviewing old-time wharfies.
