The Screen Guide

Tasmania, the 1830s. When a gang of European soldiers massacre a tribe of Aborigines, only Manganinnie survives. In despair she only waits to die, but a chance encounter with 8-year-old Joanna inspires her to resist fate. Together the old woman and the girl trek from the mountains to the sea in search of the vanished tribe.
