The Screen Guide

St Ambrose in Brunswick (Vic) has a rich history that mirrors the waves of change in the Australian Catholic Church and migration to Australia since the 1870s. In the 1990s, at the centre of even greater upheavals is the enigmatic priest, Father Bongiorno. The priest presides over a fascinating stream of factional battles, entrenched Church policies, diverse ethnic needs and the faith of the population of St Ambrose.
