The Screen Guide

Two young Australians, tired of being unemployed, devised a novel way of not only getting a job, but having a holiday and some great adventures at the same time. Phil Daniel and Nick Soames left Alice Springs in the Northern Territory of Australia for 1370 kilometre walk south to Port Augusta in South Australia to collect recycable and returnable rubbish. Not only did they earn a living, but they also made a tidy profit, and saw some of outback Australia's famous landmarks along the way.
