The Screen Guide

ONE FOR THE ROAD explores the concept that individuals will become dysfunctional, in one form or another, if they are unable to communicate effectively with others. The film challenges the cultural assumptions that society places on gender roles as it examines the way in which some men try to avoid facing reality and dealing with pain whether it be through alcohol, sex or delusion. Three men's situations, capturing the stages in their relationships as partners and parents. Pete, Mark and Geoffrey catch the same bus every day.
