The Screen Guide

The experiences that many Aboriginal people have experienced across this nation, both physically and emotionally and mentally. Many have succumbed to the pain and turned to violence, the bottle and to drugs. But some have risen above it and found a way of coping and living in a world that has been tarnished and destroyed in their early lives. One person Ian Lowe lived a tough and torrid life at Kinchela Boys Home in the 50's and has survived to not only tell his story but also to use this pain to tell his stories through the beauty of poetry and music. This story will allow Ian to tell his stories through his poetry and how his art has been a healing balm to his wounds.
