The Screen Guide

In the western highlands of Papua New Guinea lies the village of Porgera — the pace of change is breathtaking as the people are literally sitting on top of a goldmine — one of the world's richest. When John Davis first started filming ten years ago the people were living in bush huts and trading pigs for wives; now they drive earthmovers, learn to use appliances and are wealthier than most of us will ever be. Filming over ten years chronicles the people as they embrace change and find out what is at the end of the rainbow.
