University student Patrick wins one million dollars on a 'scratch' lottery ticket. Afraid of being mugged, Patrick hides the ticket inside the house he shares with five other students (Jones, Lorenzo, Blake, Donald and Tamsin) and goes out on the town to celebrate. But Patrick parties too hard and ends up in intensive care in a terminal condition. Figuring Patrick won't live long enough to enjoy his newfound wealth, his housemates decide to find his hidden ticket and share the spoils. Meanwhile, just off the coast, an apocalyptic tropical cyclone looms, threatening to wipe out everything in its path...
