The Screen Guide

Greta Migrant Camp was the first home in Australia to many post Second World War European migrants. Some 40 years later, these migrants now represent the older generation of Australia's ethnic community. SILVERBEAT explores and listens to their memories of making a new life in Australia. Their attitudes to growing old in a strange environment and their feeling of isolation and loneliness are at the centre of this touching documentary.
