The Screen Guide

On Australia Day, January 26, 1988, as the climax of Australia's Bicentenary celebration, all of Australia stopped to witness one of the grandest maritime events of this century, the parade of tall ships on Sydney Harbour. SPIRIT OF THE TALL SHIPS traces the historical voyages of the Polish Tall Ship, Dar Mlodziezy and the USA Coast Guard's Eagle to Australia, and the adventures of four young Australians who took part in the epic journeys.
