The Screen Guide

Mori Tanaka is sent to Australia from Japan to oversee his uncle's funeral and return with his ashes. Mori soon discovers that his uncle was not the man he was raised to emulate and that his last wish was to have his ashes remain in the country he had called home for over 30 years. Set predominantly at the funeral's wake, Mori finds himself torn between two cultures and the emotional baggage left behind by an uncle he never knew.
