The Screen Guide

Phil Narley wants the best lawn, the best roses. To the right of his house are the Lurneheys. To the left, the elderly Mandolinis. All compete to look the best. Phil's 10-year-old son Gary tries unsuccessfully to get his Dad's attention. Phil is 'busy' gardening. Disappointed, Gary builds his own gardening tool. Emerging with a strange looking contraption Phil screws his face up and is about to tell Gary to take it away when the neighbours decide they want one. Soon, every home has one. Yet Gary is confused for he has no idea what these codopples do...
