The Screen Guide

The Great Barrier Reef is the largest coral reef in the world, and has slowly evolved to its present size over the last 20,000 years. Its ecology is of special interest to John Bunt, and in this program scientists involved in reef research reveal the complex interaction between the coral polyps, algae, crustaceans, fish and other marine life. The majority of the research involves weeks of field work and many hours of scuba diving, collecting specimens and setting up monitoring experiments.
