The Screen Guide

In 1628, the Dutch ship Batavia, jewel of the East India Trading Company, foundered on the reefs of the Abrolhos Islands off the West Australian coast. An epic saga of mutiny and massacre followed, with more than half of the 250 survivors murdered before the mutineers were captured and hanged. Les Hiddins retraces the story of this incredible historical drama.
