The Screen Guide

THE UNIVERSAL PROVIDER is a poetic documentary which focusses on the rise and fall of the Horden retail empire and dynasty. In this film images of the construction and demise of the Anthony Horden Palace Emporium are interwoven with archival footage and photographs, animated treatments of Eadweard Muybridge's photographic studies of human locomotion, and the music of Elgar to produce an analysis of the political economy of spatial design.
