The Screen Guide

A profile of racehorse trainer Tommy Woodcock. Tommy's career began in 1928, and the first horse he trained was the great Phar Lap. It would be almost 50 years before Tommy Woodcock found another horse nearing Phar Lap's quality. That horse was Reckless, and in 1977 he did what not even Phar Lap had done - won the Sydney, Adelaide and Brisbane Cups, and finished second in the Melbourne Cup. This program looks at the life of Tommy Woodcock, and the qualities that have made him a legend.
