The Screen Guide

Sale of the Century host Glenn Ridge tackles some of Australia's most rugged and beautiful terrain in TOP END TREK. In 1995 Glenn and travelling companions Ron and Viv Moon drove a staggering 4150 kilometres in eight days. They were the first party to cross the top end of Australia after one of the wettest seasons on record. Starting from the luxurious Port Douglas Mirage Resort Glenn and the team travelled through tropical rainforests, savannah, swollen creeks and lush gorges. They rode the Gulflander Railway, fished for Barramundi in the Katherine Gorge, flew in a helicopter around the bizarre 50 metre high stone columns of 'The Lost City' and even swam in crocodile infested waters.
