The Screen Guide

Inspired by the writers’ experience of growing up in rural Victoria as well as the testimonies of locals from the Greater Ballarat region, Watch and Act depicts the reality of country living during fire season. This months-long period must be prepared for every year even while life, work and school cannot be put on hold. The film follows teens Lily and Ben as a bushfire increasingly threatens their lives. Home alone, the siblings must put their fire-safety knowledge to the test and work together with cool heads to save themselves. However, they soon learn that, while you can do everything right, it can still go wrong.
