The Screen Guide

Daring escapes by Australian and other Allied prisoners-of-war so infuriate the Nazis that the troublemakers are sent to the end of the line: The Small Fortress of Theresienstadt, a concentration camp in Czechoslovakia. Stripped of their national and military status, they are hidden from view. They become political prisoners. Yet for almost 40 years after the War the Australian Army says: no, this never happened; no Australians ever entered Nazi concentration camps. Two Australians, Walter Steilberg and Alex McCelland are drawn out of seclusion and return to Czechoslovakia to see what memories await. And to set the record straight, once and for all.
