The Screen Guide

A non linear docu/drama of a man's working life in Sydney, as he dies in hospital from Mesothelioma. A daughter goes to the past, present and future for answers. There are moments where her memory dwells and flashes through childhood and the many unanswered questions of her father's death. Between interviews in the present and information withheld for many years, the daughter investigates and searches for answers and a way of making changes to the current situation and attitude. It was only last year (December 1998) that bedside court cases (even hours before the person died) were abolished in New South Wales.
