The Screen Guide

Who's the bait and what's the catch? Rose and Teresa are best friends, growing up in a sleepy fishing village on the Central Coast, during the 70s. Mr Baxter, an old fisherman, is a friend to the local kids. Rose and Teresa see Mr Baxter in a different light when Leanne, an older kid, joins them on their visits to his house in Pelican Street. Lemonade and tickles give way to smoking and talk of sex. Mr Baxter is thrown into turmoil and Rose learns some hard lessons about sexuality and friendship.
