The Screen Guide

The Cape Mountain zebra is the largest South African mammal to come so close to extinction - but today's efforts to build up numbers have been dealt another blow. Inbreeding among the zebra groups means the species will eventually die out unless the herds are mixed. The program looks at the people and the passion behind saving this little zebra. We follow the herds, see the tantrums, the tiny foals and the territorial fights of the big stallions. An intimate look at a zebra no one knew existed!
