The Screen Guide

ANGEL is the story of a young ceramic artist with a taste for decoration and parody, whose career is dramatically affected by an unexpected major commission for one of Australia's most prestigious public art galleries. This half hour documentary about the monumental sculpture Angel, which stands in the moat at the entrance to the National Gallery of Victoria, explores what lies behind the gorgeously coloured tiles and what motivates its creator, sculptor Deborah Halpern.
