The Screen Guide

DRY WINTER follows a young couple in an isolated country town that lies between the ocean and outback in regional Australia. It explores the underrepresented world of rural Australian life, taking place throughout a harsh drought that has desiccated an agricultural landscape that traditionally thrives in winter months. Adopting a hybrid documentary style with a cast of non-actors, DRY WINTER offers a nuanced depiction of a couple on the edge of breakdown in a remote, drought ridden landscape.
