The Screen Guide

The ordered existence and innocent obsession of an 11-year-old girl is exploited by the corrupt desire of a neighbour, with devastating results. Shelley is a young girl who filters all experience through the impossible dream of owning her own horse. The only voice she finds meaningful is her own, obsessively reciting equine anatomy. When she is exposed to the predations of adult sexuality, her childish understanding of the bribes which accompany it place her in a confusing and dangerous position.
