The Screen Guide

One man's fascination for watching people takes us on a carnival ride across the artificial surface of lounge culture, where the ridiculous masquerades as the sublime. Along the way, the man incurs the fury of a woman scorned, and in a climax that's decidedly tongue-in-cheek, he himself becomes just another sideshow attraction. RUBBERNECKING is either 'An observation of the human animal in the social milieu of the upmarket bar or lounge, focusing of the the more anti-social behavioural patterns and the dysfunctionality of contemporary mating rituals', or 'A one-joke film about some clown in a bar'.
