The Screen Guide

THE F WARD is a hospital show about underdogs who just might succeed - if they can get out of their own way. Young, sometimes talented, all deeply flawed medical graduates who have fucked up royally, they’ve been sent to the aging and under-funded Pines Hospital, in Sydney’s northern beaches, for a last-ditch chance to complete their practical internship and finally make it as doctors. They must overcome their insecurities, their past and the shame of their giant ‘supervised practice’ badges, in a hothouse environment where the stakes are life and death.
