Ava Newman arrives in Tasmania hoping to find her husband following a cataclysmic US military experiment that has decimated the island. To make it to the town of Woodbridge where her husband was during the incident, Ava must first join a Body Retrieval Unit that requires her to help bury the many casualties of the accident — but things to a turn for the worse when some of the corpses she’s burying start showing signs of life. With growing desperation, Ava coerces fellow volunteer Clay to help her make the dangerous trek to Woodbridge, but the closer Ava gets to her husband last known whereabouts, the more her true intentions for doing so are revealed.
